DERVISH - IN CONCERT

From Ireland - for one night only!

“Their integrity makes the group a formidable heir to the throne abandoned by The Bothy Band, if not a serious contender for The Chieftains’ international space.” -- The Irish Times

"One of the world’s most renowned and imaginative interpreters of Irish folk music" – Folk Radio UK

Described by the BBC as “an icon of Irish music”, Dervish includes six of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians, fronted by one of the country’s best-known singers, Cathy Jordan.

Recipients of a Lifetime Achievement Award at BBC Folk Awards, this Sligo-based band marries technical brilliance with a rare sensibility. They are renowned for their live performances, which match dazzling sets of tunes with stunning interpretations of traditional songs.

The group includes: Cathy Jordan (voice, bodhran), Tom Morrow (fiddle), Shane Mitchell (accordion), Liam Kelly (flute/whistle), Brian McDonagh (mandola/mandolin) and Michael Holmes (bouzouki).
